Dear Mel,I am so sorry to hear about Phyllis. I didn't know that she had been sick. I am living in Winter Haven so lost touch. I have some fond memories of the band trips and the clarinet trios that we played in at contests. My brother, Sherwin, had composed a song which Roberta,me,Phyllis and Sherwin all played in my church. We all got to laughing so hard we almost didn't finish the song. So sorry to hear of the passing of Phyllis. I knew Phyllis throughout our school years. We were classmates in the APHS Class of 1972 and band members in the high school band. Dear Mel and family, I was saddened to hear of Phyllis' passing but, after speaking to you Mel, know she is no longer suffering from that horrible disease. I remember fun times with Phyllis, from starting school, to hanging out when we were younger, to band trips and graduation. Unfortunately life sometimes takes us in different directions and we lose touch with people we held close as friends which is what happened with Phyllis and me. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time and the days that lay ahead.
