Grandpa,
You are now reunited with the love of your life. I think of you often and miss you terribly. The memories of you and Grandma will forever remain in my heart.
Uncle Philip "Pip" was the last of his generation hailing from South Portland Maine. His mother was Beatrice Emma Suzanne Clarke for Manchester England and his father was Charles Clement Goodwin from South Portalnd Maine--the Goodwins had lived in Maine from pre-revolutionary times. Philip's older brother was my father, Robert "Bobbie" Clement Goodwin and his sister was Phyllis "Bubbles" Davis. All of their generation served in the military, Pip served three years in the US Army Air Corps with 14th Air Force in the China-Burma theater. Bubbles' spouse, Anthony Davis, was a B-29 Pilot in the Pacific. Robert was in the Army Air Corps and Corps of Engineers. The family used to meet and play in Montreal, Passagrile, or Maine. God rest his soul!##imported-begin##Dr. Richard C. Goodwin##imported-end##
