Pauline B McKinney's Obituary
Pauline B. McKinney, 82, of Oxford passed away Sunday, April1, 2012. Mrs. McKinney was born June 11, 1929 in Baxley, Ga. and returned to Oxford in 2011 from Waycross, Ga. She was a member of Jamestown Baptist Church in Waycross and attended the First Baptist Church of Wildwood. She was a retired lunch room manager for the Sumter County School Board. She belonged to the Ware County Shiners’ Ladies Auxiliary in Waycross and enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking, working in the garden with her flowers, several crafts including crocheting which won her several best of show and blue ribbons in the county fair. Survivors include her sons, Paul (Coral) of Savannah, Ga., Steve (Cheryl) of Oxford; daughter, Renea (Mike) Swingler of San Antonio, Tx.; 9 grandchildren, Summer, April, Jennifer, Lee, Joshua, Caitlin, Matthew, Troy and Samantha; 10 great grandchildren, Serena, Lily, Jesse, Jacob, Andrew, Tony, McKaykla, Maddie, Max and Jayden. She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. and son Michael. Visitation for Mrs. McKinney will be held 6:00 - 7:00pm, with a funeral service at 7:00pm Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Chapel. Services will also be held in Waycross, Ga. with interment in Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Alma, Ga. On-line condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
