Paul C. Sweetland, Jr.,'s Obituary
Paul C. Sweetland, Jr., 73, of The Villages, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Mr. Sweetland was born March 27, 1938, in Garden City, Kansas and moved to The Villages in 2005 from Alexandria, Va. He was retired from the U.S.D. A. Forest Service where he worked in various positions, including Forest Supervisor of the San Juan and the Angeles National Forests, and Assistant to the Chief for Total Quality Management. He worked at the US. House of Representatives as Assistant Administrator of Facilities Management. He was a graduate of Penn State University, received a Masters Degree from Colorado State. He was a past member of LIONS International and was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his loving wife of 19 years, Luz; children, Betsy Sweetland and David Sweetland both of Colorado; 3 brothers, David, James and Robert; a sister, Elizabeth Silver along with 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held 10:00am, Saturday, December 10, 2011, in the Wildwood United Methodist Church, 300 Mason St., Wildwood.
