Patricia Hall's Obituary
Rev. Patricia Irene (Phillips) Hall, 89, of Summerfield, Florida went home to be with the lord on Friday, February 11, 2011 while visiting her daughter in Newcastle, Oklahoma. She was born March 16, 1921 in Council Grove, Kansas, youngest child of the late Roy and Sylvia (Grider) Phillips. She received her local preacher’s license at age 17. She was later ordained as a minister in The Church of the Nazarene. She received her B. A. from Bethany Nazarene College in 1967. She later received certification as a special education teacher in New Jersey. She was married to John Wesley Hall on July 29, 1941. John & Patricia went to Cuba as missionaries for The Church of the Nazarene in 1947. After 14 years in Cuba they labored with the Hispanics in the United States until 1973. In 1973 they went to Honduras, Central America and pioneered a mission work for The Church of the Bible Covenant. They returned to the U.S. after 19 years of service in Honduras. Patricia resided in Summerfield, Florida attending Calvary Community Church until her death. She is survived by a son, Dr. John Wesley (Sheila) Hall, of Mount Vernon, OH; 4 daughters, Dr. Patricia Aileen (Dean) Atkinson, of Newcastle, OK; Iris Darleen (James) Shaw, of Pleasant Shade, TN; Janet Coreen (Stephen) Geise of Guatemala, C. A.; Violet Lily (Guillermo) Camposeco of Burlington, NC; 22 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Wesley Hall and daughter, Violet Kathleen. Also preceding in death were one brother and two sisters.Services as follows.. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb 18 from 7pm ~ 9pm and Saturday, Feb 19 from 9-11AM at Calvary Community Church 6679 SE 174th Lane Summerfield, Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 19, 2011 with interment following at Pine Level Cemetery in Oxford.
