Orlie “Phil” Greathouse, age 78, of Avon Park, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. He was born in Waverly, OH and moved to Avon Park in 2002 from Chillicothe, OH. He was a member of the Community Bible Church, CCCU, Avon Park. He retired from the Meade Corporation. He was a member of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was a member of AMVETS in Chillicothe, OH. He enjoyed created and painting ceramics.He is survived by his loving wife Imogene of 21 years; daughter-in-law, Cathy (Bill) Crowe of London, OH; brother, Henry Greathouse of Springboro, OH; sister, Mildred Graves of Chillicothe, OH; special sister-in-law, Beverly R. Salley of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren, Sasha Crowe, Maria (Ed) Logan, Evan (Lois) Greathouse; great grandchildren, Emma and Noah Logan; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda R. Greathouse, son, Stephen Greathouse, brothers, Lewis and Paul Greathouse, and sisters, Dolly Salley and Delpha Lockard.Friends may call on family from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Community Bible Church. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Community Bible Church with Don Seymour officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Community Bible Church, 1400 CR 17A N, #82, Avon Park, FL 33825.
