Ora Smith's Obituary
Ora L. Smith age 84,Born in Staten Island New York, and retired from Department of Welfare, State of New York in 1980, when she moved to Belleview, Florida.Ora married Willard Smith shortly after her retirement; he preceded her in death in 2005. They enjoyed traveling extensively and camping. She was a loving stepmother to his daughters Elaine Brown and Wanda Taylor.Ora's family meant a great deal to her, she was very close to her sisters Ruth, Joan, and Dorothy. They were all avid Scrabble players, and enjoyed being together always. Her three sisters preceded her in death.Ora leaves four nieces, Joanne Long, Gloria Hise, Laura Teague, Kathy McKinney, and four nephews, James Maculewicz, William Quinlan, and Richard Maculewicz and Robert WalkerOra was a Friend of the Belleview Library, Friend of Paynes Prairie Nature Preserve, and a member of Unity Church of Ocala, where she will be missed by many, especially her driver and friend Ann Lax.Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at Unity of Ocala, 101 Cedar Rd. Ocala, Fl 34472. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Unity of Ocala.
