Odis Wayne Bennett's Obituary
Odis Wayne Bennett, 61, Wildwood, FL, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2013 under the loving care of his family and staff of Lane Purcell Hospice House, Sumterville, FL. Mr. Bennett was born on July 26, 1951 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to his parents Odis Lehman Bennett and Anna Christine Bennett. Mr. Bennett was the Plant Manager for the Wildwood Elementary School and was also a Farmer. He moved to Wildwood in 1994 from Sumterville and was a member of the Sumterville Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He had served in the U.S. Army. His hobbies included farming, woodworking, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his loving wife: Carole Bennett of Wildwood, FL; four daughters: Crystal (Robert) Terry of Webster, FL, Carolyn Edwards of Florida, Laurie (David) Birch of Woodstock, GA and Wendy (Ivan) Duke of Pendergrass, GA; a son: Thomas (Alise) Reynolds of Orange Park, FL; two brothers: Dale Bennett of Bushnell, FL and Larry Bennett of California; fourteen grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 3PM at United Methodist Church of Wildwood, with visitation one hour prior to service. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in his loving memory to The Heifer Project at www.heifer.org .On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
