Norman G. "Joe" Laperle's Obituary
Joe LaPerle, 86, of Oxford passed away Monday, November 21, 2016. Joe was born October 11, 1930 in East Montpelier, VT to Victor and Lucy (Lanctot) LaPerle. He moved to Oxford in 1964 from Montpelier, VT. Joe owned the packing house in Oxford as well as the gas station that was on the corner of 301 and 466. He retired at age 55 and sold those businesses. He is a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy; children, Tannis and Kim Goehring of Orlando, Judy and Doug Ball of Clermont, Cheryl and Chuck Creel of Inverness; sister, Pauline Johnson of Barre, VT; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with twins on the way. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jane LeMay, Roger, Roma and his twin brother Michael LaPerle. Visitation will be held 11:30am – 12:30pm, Friday, November 25, 2016 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel with the funeral mass immediately following in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood. Interment will be in Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford. Flowers will be accepted or for those wishing memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund.
