Norma H. McNeal's Obituary
Norma Hamel McNeal, age 91, of Wildwood, passed away July 10, 2020 in Inverness, Florida. Norma was born on February 21, 1929 in Pittsburg Pennsylvania, one of three children born to the late Arthur S. and Dorothy (Hendrick) Hamel. She was married to the love of her life, John Wesley McNeal, who passed away on October 4, 2000. She is survived by her stepdaughter Mary Dwiggins of Charleston Illinois, stepson J. Wayne McNeal of Avondale Arizona, and 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jonathan A. McNeal, her sister Dorothy (Hamel) Ladig, and her brother Arthur L. Hamel.
Norma moved to Florida in 1956, settling in Wildwood, Florida in 1990.
Norma was a Methodist and served as pianist for many churches. She volunteered for 30 years at Cypress Care Center, formerly known as WeCare. Norma was a United States Army Sgt. WAC Veteran during the Korean war 1952-1955. Norma was a secretary in Pinellas County for ten years and a homemaker.
Norma was extremely proud of her family and will be remembered for her love of music and things pertaining to Christmas. A memorial service will be held at later date in celebration of her life.
