Nora M Knight's Obituary
Nora Knight, 83, of St. Mary’s, Georgia passed on Sunday, October 2, 2011. Mrs. Knight was born in Hill Co., Hillsboro, TX and she moved to Oxford from Tampa in 1964. Daughter of late Will and Nora Goff, of Hillsboro, Texas. Preceded in death by husband, Major George W. Knight, USAF retired and sons; Frederick Knight and George W. Knight Jr, sisters; Earline Marshall, Irena Thompson, brother; Bill Goff. Survived by granddaughters; Gina Orlando, of Yulee, FL and Amy Knight of Orange City, FL. Grandson Master Sergeant John Knight USMC, Pensacola, FL. Sisters; Beatrice Dumas, Peggy Gillaspie of Dallas, TX, Laurie Edwards of Hewitt, Texas Mrs. Knight retired as a Toll supervisor for the Florida Turnpike. Mrs. Knight served as past Worthy Matron of Chapter 24, Order of Eastern Star of Wildwood, Past President of Florida Federation of Woman’s Club, of Wildwood, member of VFW Aux #4910, Wildwood, Past Matron’s Club, member of 1st Baptist Church of Wildwood and Gleaners Sunday School Class. Visitation for Mrs. Knight will be on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 1:00-2:00 PM, with Funeral services following at 2:00PM in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel, Wildwood.
