Nelson D Tucker's Obituary
Nelson D. Tucker, 80, of Summerfield passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015. Mr. Tucker was born July 21. 1934 in Westerville, OH to the late John M. and Essa (Bailey) Tucker. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Nelson retired as a truck driver and moved to Summerfield in 1982 from Alexandria, OH. He had worked part-time at the Russell Stover’s in Wildwood and was known in his neighborhood as “the candy man”. He belonged to the Calvary Community Church in Summerfield and the American Legion in Belleview. Survivors include his daughter, Beth Freese (Rick) of Alexandria, OH; son, Thomas Tucker (Sharon) of Frazeysburg, OH; sister, Phyllis Merchant (Roy); granddaughters, Holly Frampton, Amanda Tucker Smoke and Emily Freese;grandson, Tyler Freese; great-granddaughter, Kaydence Smoke along with nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John “Bill” Tucker and a daughter, Rebecca Frampton.
