Nancy Lee Farfaglia's Obituary
Nancy Lee (Shuttle) Farfaglia, 84, of Bushnell, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023. Born Saturday, November 5, 1938, in Barre, Vermont.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Forrest Shuttle and Gazel (Sullivan) Shuttle, as well as her husband, Ronald Chester Farfaglia; brother, Jack Shuttle of VT; sister, Elaine (Shuttle) Vilbrin of VT and sister, Kay (Shuttle) Stacy of AZ.
Nancy is survived by daughter, Cindi (Derek) Rogers of Ocala, daughter, Tami Farfaglia of TN, daughter, Tracy Vandeveer, of Leesburg; son, Ronnie Farfaglia of Wildwood; son, David (Debbie) Farfaglia of Ocala; daughter, Jennifer (Dave) Taylor of Eustis; six grandsons; five great grandchildren; brother, Don Shuttle of VT and many nieces and nephews.
As a mother of six, she was widowed at the tender age of 40. Nancy worked many jobs, such as waitressing, cooking, cleaning and was a Mail Carrier for USPS. She then pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. So, at the age of 50, she attended nursing school where she landed the career that she loved. She retired as a surgical technician from Ocala Dermatology in 2008.
Nancy was a faithful member of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bushnell, Florida. Her hobbies and favorite things were cooking for and spending time with her children and those she loved so dearly. Nancy had a green thumb. She loved taking care of her plants and watching the beautiful things of nature that God provided flourish and grow. She was creative and loved to craft, crochet, and sew. She was also a gifted cook and loved to cater gatherings for friends and family. She had a great wit and sense of humor. She loved to make people smile.
Her children are so very thankful for her unwavering love and sacrifices. We love you. You will forever be in our hearts.
Cremation has taken place at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home 410 Webster St. Wildwood, FL 34785. Online condolences can be made at www.bankspagetheus.com
There will be a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in Nancy's name to Cornerstone Hospice.
