Morris P Gardner's Obituary
Morris Phillip Gardner, 81, of Wildwood, FL passed away Friday, November 25, 2016. Mr. Gardner was born July 1, 1935 in Pitt County, NC to William Churchill and Edna Jane (Hoffman) Gardner. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War serving for over 20 years and retiring as a U.S. Army Medic. Morris moved here in 2013 from Roseboro, NC. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roseboro, the VFW in Clinton, NC, the American Legion in Wildwood, the Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star in Roseboro along with many other organizations. Survivors include his loving wife of 10 years, Frances; stepsons, Tommy Powell of Roseboro and Jason Hall of Autryville, NC; stepdaughter, Judith Braun of Dunn, NC; brothers Felix Gardner of Roseboro and Kenneth Gardner of Savannah, GA; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will celebrate his life 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel, Wildwood and with another service in the First Baptist Church of Roseboro at a future date. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
