Milton S. Watkins' Obituary
Milton S. “Shake” Watkins, 89, of Wildwood passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. Mr. Watkins was born September 1, 1922 in Coleman and has lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of the University of Florida, a Naval Pilot in WWII, served as vice president of the Bank of Wildwood and retired from Seaboard Airline Railroad. Shake belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood and was an avid Gator Fan, hunter, golfer and fisherman. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Betty; 3 sons, Richard (Connie) Watkins of Ft. Pierce, Lance Watkins and Mike Watkins both of Wildwood; 2 daughters, Karen (George Boone and Kim (Jeff) Stuchell both of Wildwood; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Mr. Watkins was preceded in death in 2004 by both a son Butch Watkins and daughter Kellene Severt. Family and friends will celebrate the life of Shake Watkins at 1:00pm, Saturday, March 10, 2012 in the First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood, 203 Barwick St., Wildwood, Fl. 34785 or Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, Fl. 32162.
