Millie A. Lackey's Obituary
Millie A. Lackey, 88, of Wildwood, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Mrs. Lackey was born in Leesburg, and has been a lifelong resident in Wildwood. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Wildwood, and she retired from the Sumter County School Board as a bus driver and a special needs aide. She was a past president of the Women’s Auxiliary Fire Department, a member of the Womens Club, and she enjoyed playing cards with friends. Survivors include her sons; James “Big Al” Alexander Lackey and Paul “Allen” (Paula) Lackey both of Wildwood; John Edward (Lisa) Lackey, of Arden, NC. 4 Grandchildren; John Allen (Renee) Lackey; Jessica (Mike) Broom; Sara Lackey; Jake Lackey and 3 Great Grandchildren; Peyton, Aryonna, and Mike. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 6 PM until 8PM in the Banks/Page Theus Chapel, and a Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery.Memorial donations may be forwarded to First Baptist Church of Wildwood.
