Mildred Graham Hicks' Obituary
Mildred Graham Hicks, 68, of Coleman passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, June 17, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was born in Coleman on January 15, 1942 to Roger Howard and Kathryn Graham, a lifelong resident of Coleman and a descendent of the early pioneers of Sumter County. Mildred was a graduate of Wildwood High School in 1960 and she retired in 2007 from LRMC after 18years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Howard in 1988 and her brother, Roger Howard Jr. in 1991. She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Graham of Coleman; her sisters, Annette Botner of Lady Lake and Judy Lucas (Charles) of Oxford; her children, Randy Hicks (Paula) of Coleman, Gary Hicks (Kelly) of Coleman, Sherri Thompson (Gene) of Marathon; five grandchildren, John Hicks of Orlando, Michael Hicks of Coleman, Brittaney White (Tim) of Lady Lake, Kyle Wilkins of Clovis, NM, and Paige Hicks of LaBelle, Fl; one great granddaughter, Emily White; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. She was loved by all and will be sorely missed. There will be a private family memorial service at Adamsville Cemetery T.B.A. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her name to Cornerstone Hospice of Lake and Sumter County.
