Michael Nevin Lindsay's Obituary
Michael Nevin (D’ALoisio) Lindsay, born April 7, 1944 passed away July 7, 2010 at Cornerstone Hospice House in The Villages, Florida. He was a resident of Fruitland Park, Florida having moved there in 1977. He grew up in Endicott, NY, and graduated from U-E-High School in 1962. He was predeceased by his mother Annabelle Weiss D’ALoisio Lindsay and Michael D’ALoisio; his adopted/step-father, Harry Lindsay; and grandparents Harry (“Bomp”) and Hulda Weiss. He was a retiree of IBM, a member of the Quarter Century Club and was a Customer Service Repairman in New York State and Florida. He is survived by his ex-wife Carol Ann Persons Lindsay St. Clair (husband Larry) of Wildwood, Florida, who remained close with him and cared for him during his extended illness, and his daughter Michelle Marie Welch; kind and supportive friend, Bob Mulready of Orlando. He leaves behind grandchildren, Lindsay Barg (fiancé John Willoughby), of North Carolina and Rebekkah Barg of Orlando; He was anticipating the birth of his first great-granddaughter, Abigail Lily to be born in August 2010. Survivors include several nephews and nieces. He also leaves his wonderful neighbors Rus and Judy Avera and Jess and Carol Moorman of Fruitland Park. A service will be held for Michael at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice of the Villages, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, 32162, in memory of Michael Lindsay.
