I'm not scared or afraid and as far as calls everyday I wanted eye too eye connection with the last Altman of our generation
Mike, you told me not to go to the store that day because the storm was coming my way. I'm happy I called you that day and didn't realize at the time both of us saying love you bye will be the last time, sad to say I still miss talking to you everyday,
Just me, Suzy again
Sometime in 1960's in Palatine Illinois Uncle Mike around age 16 babysitting all 5 of us. I walked up to Uncle Mike standing at window laughing and I asked what are you laughing at? He said Keith on that tractor down the street. As we stood there too see only Keith's head sitting on tractor when all of sudden the exhaust pipe above let out a puff of smoke. I yelled Uncle Mike he started that tractor! Mike laughing saying I know I told him to but I didn't think he would actually do it. I immediately got mad at UMike and looked again Keith was walking back to house Thank God as I rolled my eyes at UMike. Odviously Keith told UMike that neighbor a construction company owner always left the keys in his equipment. I guess UMike said if the keys are in it then start it up so he could see. Odviously Keith started the tractor just for UMike to see the puff of smoke and immediately turned it off. As UMike said I didn't think he would do it however Keith did exactly as told and odviously Uncle Mike around age 16 not realizing
last time I visited grandma Altman in Chicago at ST Joseph assisted living in 1992 I believe.
Mike was employed with Chicago Northwestern.
Another pastime memory of one of Mike's hobby of mounting a train set with a village that looked like DesPlaines Illinois or a neighborhood in Chicago depending on who he was building it for. I always wanted that train platform to go around our family Christmas tree however back then when Mike was in practice with that hobby I was still in my single digit years around 4 or 5 years old I believe. Good memories of Sunday afternoon dinners always at 1 or 2 pm with the Altman family in Chicago, DesPlaines and Mt Prospect Illinois
