Melody Katherine Johnson, a vibrant soul, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2024. Born on August 5, 1983, in Tulsa, OK, Melody was the cherished daughter of Steven M. and the late Deborah (Winegarten) Johnson.
Melody's journey was marked by passion, creativity, and a love for animals. A talented writer, she graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in film. Melody’s scripts for films, commercials, and music videos showcased her unique storytelling flair and the ability to bring narratives to life.
Her laughter was contagious, and her ability to bring joy to those around her was matched only by her compassion for others. Melody's heart was as generous as her spirit, evident in her love for animals, her culinary talents, and her readiness to extend a helping hand to those in need. On rare occasions, her boundless compassion led her to bring people home to ensure they were cared for.
A faithful member of Christ the King Episcopal Church in Orlando, FL, Melody actively served in various ministries, embodying the principles of love, kindness, and service to others.
Melody is survived by her loving husband, Jarrod; her father, Steven M. Johnson; her brother, Jordan (Jeni) Johnson; her nephew, Luke; her niece, Alora; and numerous relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Melody's departure leaves a void that words cannot adequately express, but her memory will live on in the laughter she shared, the stories she told, and the lives she touched. May she find eternal peace, and may her family and friends find solace in the memories of the beautiful person she was.
A celebration of Melody’s life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 11am. at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 26 Willow Dr. Orlando, FL 32807.
