Max C. Johnson's Obituary
Max C. Johnson, 93, of The Villages in Florida, passed away on June 16th from heart failure following hospitalization for a bladder infection. Born in 1932 to Ina and Golie Johnson, he was the last of the four Johnson brothers.
Max graduated from Lititz High School where he excelled in sports. He coached the Lititz Legion Baseball Team and played softball for decades. After a 35-year career, he retired from the PA Turnpike Commission. He and his wife Rosie moved from Lititz to The Villages in 1999. He was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wildwood, Florida until his illness.
In addition to his parents and 3 brothers, Dale, Ernie and Curt, he was predeceased by his wife Rosie and son Bill.
He is survived by his loving companion Laureen King, daughter-in-law Sharon, grandson Chad (Anna), great-granddaughter Julia Rose, and a niece and 3 nephews.
A Funeral Service will take place on Monday June 29, 2026 at 10:30am at First Presbyterian Church Wildwood with a Visitation to be held at the church from 10:00AM till the hour of service. A Graveside Service will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
Max will be laid to rest alongside his wife, Rosie, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
