I am so sorry for your loss. I knew your Dad since we were little and loved him very much. I wish I knew him better in his later years. Growing up next door I saw his early struggles and how he kept up a strong face. I hope this will transition to his family!!

My fondest memory of Matt was teaching him to roller skate. He said he had heard it would help him with his skiing. He fell a few times, but finally got the hang of it. We laughed a lot that day. Matt was the King of practical jokes so we laughed a lot. He was one of the best arch welders at Grumman Aerospace and a great mechanic. In the end Matt lived his life his way and passed quietly in his sleep. He now rests with my grandparents (his parents) in heaven.
