Mary Dean Potter's Obituary
Mary Dean Potter, 86, of The Villages, passed away on August 11, 2019 in Leesburg. Mary was born on October 5, 1932 in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Mary proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, where she met her husband Grady. They were married in Reno, Nevada in 1956, just prior to his discharge. Mary was also a part of a basketball team with the Air Force that went to Hawaii for competitions. Mary and Grady settled in Jacksonville, for 50 years until they moved to The Villages in 2008 after the death of their son John.
Mary worked as an assistant to physicians for several years, then went to work for the United States Postal Service until her retirement in 2008.
Mary is survived by her husband Grady, the love of her life for the past 63 years and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Pine Level Cemetery in Oxford.
