Mary Sue Bates' Obituary
Mary Sue Bates, 88, of Wildwood passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. Mrs. Bates was born August 15, 1928 in Wildwood to Daniel and Grace Darling (Summers) McElrath. She was a member of the Wildwood United Methodist Church and the retired owner of Bates Insurance in Wildwood. Survivors include her daughters, Loraine (Hugh) Crumpler of Palm Bay, Linda Tilton (Bob Ambers) of Wildwood, Laura (Larry) Warren of Newnan, GA, Lois (Rick) Papineau of Sarasota, Robin (Eddie) Calero of Wildwood; sisters, Louise Godwin of Jacksonville and Danny Gail McElrath (Linda North) of Tallahassee; nephew, Bentley Godwin of Jacksonville; beloved caregiver, Marie Barnes; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00am with the funeral service at 11:00am, Saturday, December 31, 2016 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wildwood.
