Marvin Sardus Lanier's Obituary
Marvin Sardus Lanier, 75, of Wildwood, FL, passed away in his home on July 12, 2020. Marvin was born on August 21, 1944 to the late Earnest Audoy Lanier and Verona Ida Hamilton-Lanier, in Ft Pierce, FL. He lived in Ft Pierce during his younger years, and he married Rachel Lucille Traynor-Lanier and together had 3 children. Marvin is survived by his sons Marvin Darrell Lanier, and Kevin Duane Lanier, Sr. (Josie); his daughter Teila Christine Lanier-Killough (Marvin); his siblings, Ida Verona Linson, LeRoy Mitchell Linson, John L. Linson, Audory Earnest Lanier, Maple L. Lanier-Hinkle, O.W. Lanier, Earl Windell Lanier, Richard Eary, Betty Gale Lanier-Storman, Steven Randall Lanier; his grandchildren (from Marvin), Darrell Donovan Lanier, Dustin Dale Lanier, (From Teila) Jeffrey Michael Young, Megan Rachel Killough-Stoddard (Ryan), Jessica Sheree Killough-Spear (Keeghan), Shayla Christine Killough-Spear (Jeffrey), (from Kevin) Kevin Duane Lanier, Jr (Rebekah), Katelyn Leae Lanier-Sisk (Donald), Katrina Ann Lanier-Jones (Dillon), and Kody Jarrett Lanier; great-grandchildren, Madisyn Faye Lanier, Kevin Duane Lanier, III, Lily Anne Sisk, Colton James Sisk, Clint Lee Jones, Summer Lynn Spear, Hollyn Marie Stoddard, Jeffrey Allen Spear, III, Henry Allen Spear, Saige Elizabeth Spear, Cole Matthew Spear, Casey Stoddard, and a host of many nieces, nephews, and friends. Marvin owned a successful produce stand in front of his home in Wildwood, Florida for the past 50 years. His produce stand still is a staple business to the local community. His children and grandchildren have continued on in the produce business. Everyone that knew him could testify to what a giving and free-hearted person he was, there are many fond memories to be had by many. He loved to fish, and hunt, and he was well known for his Southern Cooking. A Graveside Ceremony to honor his life will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at Adamsville Cemetery in Wildwood, FL, Pastor Mark LoGiudice will be presiding.
