Young, Margie Janelle's Obituary
Margie Janelle Young, 88, Wildwood, Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 15, 2025 at HPH Hospice House in Lecanto, Florida with her family by her bedside. Margie was born on August 24, 1936 in Cairo, Georgia to her parents Julius Oscar Spence and Marinette (Carver) Spence.
Margie has resided in Wildwood, Florida for the past 60 years. She was a graduate of Leesburg High School. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of Hope Community Church of Wildwood, Florida. Margie was a talented seamstress and designer, known for creating stunning pageant dresses and ball gowns, as well as wedding gowns for her daughters and daughter in laws. With a gentle spirit and the sweetest smile, she was loved by all that knew her. Margie was a very strong woman and was very genuine and witty in what she said and did. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons: Mike Young and his wife Marsha of Wildwood, FL and Tony Young and his wife Terrie of Wildwood, FL; two daughters: Darla Carol “Tiki” Dickerson and her husband Scott of Inverness, FL and Alice Queen and her husband Christopher of Tarpon Springs, FL; a brother: Jimmy Spence and his wife Sabrina of Summerfield, FL; five grandchildren: Summer Borges, Kimberly Brazill, Shannon O’Toole, Jason Young and Wesley Young; six great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband, John William Young and a brother and sisters, Arthur Lee Spence, Margaret (Peggy) Mathews and Nancy Spence
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, Florida.
