Mack "Cal" Calvin Parker's Obituary
Mack Calvin “Cal” Parker, Jr. age 82, passed away peacefully
Monday evening, November 18th, at Mike Conoly Hospice
House in Clermont, Florida.
Mack was born November 8, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to
Mack Calvin Parker, Sr. and Freddie Mae McCoy. He served
in the United States Army from 1949 to 1952, stationed in
Germany as a Military Police Officer.
In 1952 Mack met the love of his life, Rosemarie Ricco. They
were married in April 1955 in Brooklyn, NY, where they lived
and raised two children. After his retirement, Mack and his
wife split their time between Brooklyn, New York and Avon
Park, Florida. In 2004 they moved to Clermont, Florida.
Mack was a loving husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed
taking trips to Walt Disney World with his family, spending
his Sundays watching sports on TV, and taking his dog Rex for
golf cart rides and walks.
In addition to his wife Rosemarie, Mack leaves behind his
daughter Patricia Parker Marquez and son-in-law Jose; two
granddaughters, Danielle & Marissa Parker; four nephews and
one niece; and his beloved fur child, Rex. Mack was preceded
in death by his son, John Edward.
Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in
Avon Park. At Mack’s request, funeral services will be private.
