Obituary for Luis A. Reyes (Toño):
Luis A. Reyes, 91, of Land O Lakes and Oviedo Florida, went to be
with the Lord on Friday, October 2, 2020. Luis was born September 21, 1929 in Coamo Puerto Rico, to Juan Reyes and Monserrate
Rodriguez. He received an Honorable discharge from the U.S. Army
as a Staff Sergeant, serving our country in the Korean War as part
of the 65th Infantry Division, regimen called the Borinqueneers.
After that he went on to serve as a military police officer in the
Panama Canal Zone, and later at the Dugway Proving Grounds in
Utah. He retired as an Industrial Promoter from the Government of
Puerto Rico. He loved baseball and was a New York Yankees fan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Silvia Reyes;
daughter Sylvette Reyes of Tampa FL, sons Luis A Reyes, Jr. of
Clearwater Fl; and Juan R Reyes of Oviedo FL; daughters-in-law,
Mayra Luz Reyes of Oviedo, Fl. and Carolyn Reyes of Clearwater, Fl;
brother Jose Reyes; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 9:30 – 11:30am followed by a service at 11:30 held at Banks/Page-Theus Chapel, 410 Webster St. Wildwood, FL 34785. Interment will take place at the Florida National Cemetery, in Bushnell, FL following the Services. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
