Loyal E. Whiteside's Obituary
Loyal E. Whiteside, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the age of 97. Born May 17,1923 in Cooperstown, Pa, Loyal was predeceased by his beloved wife Marilyn, (nee Proffitt) parents, Gladys (Bowers) and Eugene Ambrose Whiteside, his sister Lois Rodgers and her spouse Ira.
A WWII Army Veteran, Loyal attended the Antonelli School of Photography in Philadelphia and maintained a studio in Ridley Park, Pa. After playing active roles in both Rotary and The Grace Bible Fellowship Church, and raising four children Loyal and Marilyn retired to Wildwood, Florida where they enjoyed many happy years with their good friends and neighbors at Continental Country Club. A man of faith, Loyal found a spiritual home at First Baptist Church of Wildwood, and remained active in his church community, and the American Legion until his move to Lake Worth, Florida.
Loyal will be lovingly remembered by his four children, Bill Whiteside and fiancé Karen Ritchie, LeeAnn Lawch and her husband Richard, Leslie Henry, Scott Whiteside and his wife Cathy.
Pap Pap’s memory will be cherished by his seven grandchildren Taylor Lawch and his wife Lauren, Hilary Lawch and fiancé Chris, Christian, Ian and Victoria Whiteside, Rebecca Leitstein and husband Sean and great grandson Logan, Abigail Whiteside and husband Blaylor and Rebecca and Abigail’s Mother, Brenda Westerman, as well as his favorite niece and nephews Karen Yancer, and Bob and Jim Shores.
