Louis George Myers' Obituary
Louis George Myers, 81, of Wesley Chapel, Florida went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2021 under the loving care of his family and staff of Gulfside Hospice. Mr. Myers was born on July 19, 1939 in Bristol, Connecticut where he resided for most of his life until retiring in the Villages, Florida in 2001. Mr. Myers was a veteran of the United States Navy and was proud to be part of Navy UDT3 which evolved to become our honorable Navy Seals. After serving in the military he spent most of his career working for Stop-n-Shop and retired to Florida making many friends and enjoying the clubs and activities. He loved tinkering around with home projects, and always making sure every need was filled for his family. Our countless Disney adventures and memories will be treasured. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosalie A. Myers; son, Louis (Buddy) S. Myers; brother, Ray Myers. He is survived by his loving daughter, Julie A. Myers and grandsons, Nicholas L. Myers and Brandon M. Duval which all reside in Wesley Chapel, FL. Also his great-grandson, Nicholas L. Myers; sisters, Donna and Betty-Ann; brother, David; many more brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and longtime friends that grew to be family. He was the pillar of our family, always leading by example with love, compassion and strength and he will be missed by many. Rest peacefully, we love you! A mass will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5322 E.CR 462 Wildwood, FL 34785. Following the mass, inurnment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
