Loraine was born 7 days before my ninth birthday. They brought her by the house on my birthday and gave her to me to hold, and she was a beloved part of my life from then on. I have many wonderful memories of her to keep and cherish in my heart. The last time I saw her was a couple of years ago when my sister, Louise, and I went with Linda and Lois to see her. I will never forget how after we had visited a while and were walking down the hall to her room she turned around and threw her arms around me and said so fervently, "I love you!" I almost broke down in tears. Covid kept Louise and I from making another visit. But I will always cherish the love she gave me that day.
