Lora Barlow Seckinger's Obituary
Lora Barlow Seckinger, 97, Wildwood, FL. went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2015 in Palm Coast, Florida under the loving care of her family. Lora was born on December 25, 1917 in Pope City, Georgia to her parents Angus and Kate Barlow. Mrs. Seckinger was employed as the Head Teller for the Bank of Wildwood and later was promoted to Vice President for Southeast Bank. She was a member of the Wildwood United Methodist Church for over 80 years and was a graduate of Wildwood High School Class of 1935 and during her high school days she played basketball. She was a member of the United Methodist Women of the Wildwood United Methodist Church and the Wildwood Women’s Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, reading, Hiking in the hills of Georgia and loved crossword puzzles. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law: Jimmie Ann and Charles Mahan of Palm Coast, FL; a sister: Kathryn “Kitty” and Frank Sutton of Leesburg, FL; two grandchildren: Kristin and Matt Ives of Vass, NC and Kevin Mahan of Wildwood, FL; three great-grandchildren: Michael Ives, Dani Ives and Lyla Mahan and many loving nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on May 11, 2015 at 11:00 with visitation beginning at 10:30AM at the Wildwood United Methodist Church. Memorial donations in Mrs. Seckinger's name may be forwarded to VITAS Hospice, 2381 Mason Avenue Suite 100, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
