Lonnie B. Winkles' Obituary
Lonnie B. “Shorty” Winkles, 80, of Coleman, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. Mr. Winkles was born in Woodville, Alabama and moved to Florida in 1949 from Alabama. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Coleman. He was a Tree Surgeon and Hydraulic Specialist retiring from Farrens in 1991, then he went to work for Great Southern in Lake Panasoffkee until 1999. He enjoyed working on and repairing small engines for his friends and neighbors. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Billie Marie; 2 daughters, Rhonda (George) Nash of Coleman and Tina (Jason) Williams of Leesburg; a son Lonnie Lamar Winkles of Ava, Missouri; 3 granddaughters, Kerri, Jenilee and Haylee; 4 great grandchildren, Braylin, Devin, Brody and Kaylee; 2 sisters, Inez Henson of Ga. and June Kinard of Al. Funeral services for Shorty Winkles will be held 11AM, Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in the First Baptist Church of Coleman with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the Adamsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Coleman, P.O.
