Lois Elizabeth Mills' Obituary
Lois Elizabeth Mills, 106, Oxford, Florida went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2013 under the loving care of her family and Staff of The Villages Hospice House in The Villages. Mrs. Mills was born on April 24, 1907 in Eastman, Georgia to her parents Henry Jackson Hunt and Mary Elizabeth Hunt. Mrs. Mills was a homemaker and had moved to Oxford in the 1930’s from Eastman, Georgia. She was a member of the Wildwood Church of Christ and loved to create quilts for the Christian Home and Bible School as well as enjoyed fishing and being outdoors enjoying nature. She is survived by her loving children Ronnie (Cecelia) Strickland and Marlene Yates both of Oxford, FL; a daughter-in-law: Joan Strickland of Oxford, FL; eight grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; and several great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband’s Chester Grady Strickland, Sr. and John Steward Mills and a son Chester Grady Strickland, Jr. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, FL. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 10:00AM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, FL. with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Wildwood, FL. The family has requested donations be made to the Christian Home and Bible School of Mount Dora or Cornerstone Hospice of Lake County, FL.
