Lloyd Edward Cotman's Obituary
Lloyd Edward Cotman, 77, of Wildwood passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. Mr. Cotman was born September 14, 1936 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Marion Jefferson and Mary Mae (Back) Cotman. Lloyd had retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service to our country and also retired in 1993 from Centennial Liquor in TX. He was a member in good standing of AA for over 31 years, a member of the American Legion Post 347, an avid reader which included anything about the Civil War and he enjoyed traveling. He moved to Wildwood in 2008 from Auburn, WA. Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Joan; children, Barbara Schow (Ray), Phillip Cotman , Victoria Waddell (Andrew) and Jason Jewsbury all of Canada; brothers, Clayton Cotman (Nancy) and Jimmy Cotman; sisters, Mary Lee Essary (Charles), Honey Adkins, Joyce Osborne (Eddy), and Pat Kennedy along with 7 grandchildren. Family and friends will celebrate Lloyd’s life Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00am with an open meeting followed by a gathering until 1:00pm in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude’s Cancer Research, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or the Florida Men’s Workshop.
