Linda Carol Peavy's Obituary
Linda Carol Peavy, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 3, 2024 under the care of her loving family at The Villages Regional Hospital, The Villages, Florida. Linda was born on August 22, 1948 in Bushnell, Florida to her parents A.J. Davis and Lilly Mae (Bridges) Davis.
She was a lifelong resident of Sumter County, Florida. She was a member of the York Street Church of God in Bushnell, Florida. Linda worked for the Sumter County School District for over 25 years as a Dietary Manager. Prior to working for the school system, she was employed at We Care Nursing Home in Wildwood, Florida prior to her working for the School District. Linda enjoyed spending time with her sister-in-law Ann. She loved stock car racing, and she traveled the local stock car racetracks watching local driver’s race. Linda was a hard worker and loved to spend time with her grandchildren, and her kitty cat “Girl”.
Linda is survived by her three sons: John Eldridge of Ocala, FL, Robert L. Peavy, III and his wife Erica of Rome, OH and Ricky A. Peavy and his wife Melissa of Oxford, FL; a sister: Flora Marshall of Bushnell, FL; six grandchildren: Sarena Eldridge, Robert L. Peavy, IV, Ryan Peavy, Shane Peavy and his wife Amanda, Keith Peavy and Miranda Peavy; four great-grandchildren: Brooklynn, Shane, Jr., Ravin and Penelope; many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Robert L. Peavy, Jr., and all but one sibling.
A Gathering visitation of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11:00AM till 12:00PM followed by a Graveside Service at Pine Level Cemetery in Oxford, Florida at 12:30PM with Brother Daniel Kellum Officiating.
