Lewis A. Williams' Obituary
It was on Monday the 14th day of September 2020 when our Lewis A. Williams went to be with the Lord. Currently he was living in Lake Panasoffkee, FL. He was born on November 3, 1941 in Savannah, Georgia. He moved to Miami, FL as a child and graduated from Coral Gables Sr. High School. After graduation, Lewis and his twin brother Larry G. Williams served in the US Navy. Lewis served on a Fletcher-Class Destroyer performing many tasks from anti-submarine warfare, anti-aircraft warfare to surface action. After leaving the Navy Lewis graduated from Georgia Southern University. He later worked with General Electric while living in Tennessee and then eventually moving back to Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pete & Jewel Williams and brother, Larry G. Williams. He is survived by his sister, Jeanie (Bobby) Hammons; nieces, Lori, Linda, Lisa, Leslie(deceased) and Leanne; sister-in-law, Martha A. Williams (brother Larry’s wife) and their 2 children Larry Jr. and Tammy; and eight other nieces and one nephew. Lewis will be forever loved and missed dearly by his family, loved ones and friends. Let’s try not to be sad too long for his spirit will whisper with the wind and shine in the morning sun. He will always be in our hearts for we will all meet again.

A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Lake Panasoffkee on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 10 – 10:30 AM followed by a Service at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
