Lawrence Ralph Munz's Obituary
Lawrence Ralph Munz, 79, of Wildwood, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. Larry was born December 5, 1933 in Augusta, NY to the late Alvin Munz and Dorthea (Connors) Munz. He moved from New York in 1977 to the Green Swamp and then to Orlando. Larry completed many construction projects in the Orlando area and the Munz family then moved to Wildwood in 1985. Most recently Larry worked with his son, Steve, at Galaxy Home Solutions, Inc.
Larry was a life long member of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and the International Buckskin Association (IBHA), as horses were his greatest passion. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Larry spent his life as a horseman and was a friend and mentor to all he knew. He also held great belief in supporting the youth of the AQHA, IBHA, 4-H and FFA.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Veronica; 10 children, Diana (Mike) Wilson, Kim (Rob) Marshall, Larry (Bev) Munz, Lori (Matt) Barone, Amy Barco, Steve (Debbie) Munz, Brian (Tina) Munz, Erin Munz, Jim Gallagher and Pat (Christine) Gallagher; sister Joan (Dick) Ritenour; mother-in-law Bertha Patrick, as well as more than 50 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Both his parents and his father-in-law, John Patrick, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Munz will be held at Banks/Page Theus Chapel in Wildwood, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 5 until 7 p.m. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 and 10 a.m. at Pine Level Cemetery in Oxford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you contribute to The Larry Munz 4-H and FFA Scholarship Fund being arranged with Citizens First Bank.
