Laurence Donald Wedeman's Obituary
Laurence Donald Wedeman, 91, Sebring, Florida went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2024 at The Bud and Donna Somers Hospice House in Sebring, Florida. Laurence was born on February 17, 1933 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania to his parents Charles Chester Wedeman and Catherine (Owens) Wedeman.
Laurence moved to Sebring, Florida over 31years ago from Newark, Delaware. He was an auto worker for General Motors with over 31 years of service. Laurence was a proud Korean War veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He was a Lifetime Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Newark, Delaware. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Laurence loved to go boating on the Chesapeake Bay when he lived in Delaware.
Laurence is survived by his son: Laurence Wedeman and his wife Susan of Sebring, FL; a sister: Carol Smith of Houston, TX; four loving grandchildren: Lori Dawson, Charles Wedeman, Emily Martin and Catherine Wedeman; thirteen great-grandchildren: Zackary, Andrew, Kelly Ann, Christopher, Miranda, Mason, Carpenter, Maci, Dylan, Emma, Brianna, Lillian and Taylie; five great-great-grandchildren: Greyson, Weston, Rosalie, Lillian and Ophelia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Henry “Buddy” Wedeman, sisters, Jean Paterson and Ruth Ann Hruby and his beloved wife, Anna Mae Wedeman.
