I had the great privilege of working with Ken at the Lady Lake Library. He was a wonderful friend and coworker. We shared a somewhat quirky sense of humor and were not necessarily quiet library workers. However, the patrons loved us. As for his main job, which was research, he was a dog with a bone. If he could not find information then I just don't think it could be found. Ken was on a first name basis with the Dunkin Donut workers to the point where the had his order waiting for him when he came through the line on the way to work. My memories would not be complete if I diid not mention his work desk. It had to be the most unorganized, confusing mess of all time. One day when he was off work I straightened everything including putting away what surely was a year's supply of pencils (I exaggerate only a little) that he had in layer after layer of papers. He came in, looked at his desk, said not a word, and proceeded to have it back to his own mess in about 30 minutes. He could find anything with his own way of organizing. We hadn't seen each other in a long time especially with the pandemic ruling everyone's life. But, I shall dearly miss that big bear of a guy.
My sympathies to his entire family and to Theresa (T) especially.
