Kathleen Ruth Parkin (Wettstein)'s Obituary
Kathleen Ruth Parkin (Wettstein), 83, The Villages, Florida went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2025 at her residence in The Villages, Florida. Kathy was born on June 8, 1942, in Millville, New Jersey to her parents Thomas Hinckley and Lenore (Young) Hinckley.
Kathy was a retired Registered Nurse and had worked at Newcomb Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as well as the Emergency Room. She also worked as a School Nurse for the Maurice River Township School District. Kathy moved to The Villages, Florida from Millville, New Jersey a year ago. She was of the Christian Faith. Kathy loved to go on cruises, and she loved to watch her shows The Y&R and Bold and Beautiful, she loved her sweets, especially peanut butter sundae and ice cream sandwiches and her favorite the white cream in the donuts. Kathy had love and appreciation for nature and animals, especially her pups and all the beautiful birds that she fed and admired. Kathy touched many with her smile and bright eyes and had deep loving friendships that she treasured. Kathy is survived by her daughter: Donna Richter (Michael Sipin) of The Villages, Fl sons: Joseph Richter of Millville, NJ and Roger Parkin of Millville, NJ; a brother: Thomas Hinckley of Norwalk, CT; and grandchildren: Danielle Richter, Casey Sooy and great grandchildren Cara, Carson & Hendrix: along with several loving nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lynne Fiocchi and Lenore Hinckley, a grandchild Joseph Richter, stepsons, Artie Parkin and Jeff Parkin and her beloved husband of 40 plus years, Arthur Parkin. Kathy spent two joyful years with Richard Wettstein before divorcing earlier this year.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date in her hometown of Millville, New Jersey.
