"Aunt June" was my mother's lifelong & closest friend. They met in 1953 where she lived in Apt 5J & my mother & father lived in 5I, on Roebling Ave, Bronx NY. Sandy was born, my brother Gerard was born. Then she had "Boobie",( Larry Jr,) & we had Denise. Then Cindy just a month before me came. We were family, our moms like sisters. Shared childhood birthdays together, Christmas visits & went to Golden's Beach -LI Sound. Dominick & Ronnie came along later. We slept over on the night my younger brother, Jeffrey was born. One April around 1964-66, Aunt June made me a banana cake for my birthday, a tall bright yellow cake with real bananas all over it. She was ALWAYS kind, sweet. loving & generous to all of us! And she made us laugh & smile more than anyone. I'll remember her warmth, strength, faith, giving nature and devotion to her loved ones. I'll especially remember how very much she loved my mother & how valuable that was. She called me "Rainy" and I'm glad she's at heavenly peace with the others. LARAINE GAUL
