Julia C. Jordan, 69, Lake Placid, FL passed away on May 17, 2017 at Good Shepherd Hospice house in Sebring, Florida under the loving care of her husband and staff Hospice. Mrs. Jordan was born on March 5, 1948 in Waterbury, Connecticut to her parents Livingston V.R. Crowell and Florence Ana Ida (Thornhill) Crowell. Mrs. Jordan was a Writer of Historical Romances under the pen name of Dayna Leigh Cheser. She and her husband moved to Lake Placid four years ago from Naples, Florida and prior to living in Naples they had originally moved from New Hampshire in 1992. Prior to her becoming a writer she had worked in the family printing business and had a background in printing, typesetting and graphic design. She was of the Christian faith and was able to fulfill a lifelong goal of becoming a writer after retiring. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years: Peter D. Jordan of Lake Placid, FL; mother: Florence Crowell of Boca Raton, FL; two brothers: John Crowell of Waterbury, CT and Charles Crowell of Boca Raton, FL; a sister: Betsy Lilliandahl of Connecticut and several loving nieces and nephews.
