Joyce Adrene Abel's Obituary
Joyce Adrene Abel, 89, of Sebring, FL, passed away on February 25, 2026. Joyce was born on November 10, 1936, in Oak Park, IL to her parents; Arthur John and June Rose (Frederick) Franke/Mack and later stepfather, Edward Mack.
Joyce became a resident of Sebring, FL from Cape Coral, FL in 1995, she was an Evangelical Christian and a member of Auxiliary VFW, AMVETS and The American Legion as well as a life member of the Elks Lodge. She worked as volunteer chaplain and will be remembered for numerous charitable endeavors.
Joyce owned and operated her own business, The Busy Bobbin in Oak Lawn, IL, where she was a very talented seamstress and tailor. Joyce was also a talented artist, she loved to draw and sing.
Joyce is survived by her son, David Wildfield, his wife Jennifer Mannebach and their children; Ursula and Vivien, and her daughter, Kim Leonardo, her husband Keith and their children Craig and Christian as well as a great grandchild, Ian.
Joyce is preceded in passing by her husband of 17 years, Mike Abel, who passed in 2013, her parents; Arthur and June Franke, and her sisters; Joan Carson, Lois Searcy and Gail Keeling.
