Joy Lynn Risner's Obituary
Joy Lynn Risner, 67, of Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2025. Joy was born on November 25, 1957, in Canton, Ohio. Joy was one of ten children born to her parents Ralph Risner and Anna Mae (Cline) Risner.
Joy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She loved animals, she raised chickens, and pigs. Joy helped rescue many animals and people, throughout her lifetime. She moved to Leesburg, Florida in 2013. Joy loved watching westerns and dreamed of living in the mountains one day. As a young woman, Joy enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.
Joy left behind, her loving children: Ronnie Lee Hughes of Griffin, GA, Jennifer Lynn Lovell of Mary Esther, FL and Donna Jean Risner of California; three brothers: David Ray Risner of Green, OH, Paul Edward Risner of Lake Panasoffkee, FL and Lonnie Risner of East Sparta, OH; four sisters: Donna Campbell of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, Sharon Tapp of Leesburg, FL, Ruth Busby of Inverness, FL and Carol Alborn of Canton, OH; six loving grandchildren; Jonathan Risner, Anna Nagle, Maddison Hughes, Ronnie Lee Hughes The 2nd ,Emily Hughes, and Hudson Hughes, a loving great-grandchild Maylie Jones Risner and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Anna Mae Risner, a brother, Charles Risner, a sister, Gloria Whitmer, and Jacho her dog.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the A.S.P.C.A. in Joy’s loving memory.
