Jonathan T. Rebstad "Jon"'s Obituary
Jonathan Rebstad of Summerfield FL, known to his friends as "Jon", passed away on March 22, 2018 at the age of 52.
Born in Fort Lauderdale Florida and raised in Southington Connecticut. He was a graduate of Southington High School, where he was an avid member of the Future Farmers of America.
After moving to Ocala Florida in 1993, he became a member of the Yankeetown Coast Guard Auxiliary and enjoyed spending time boating and fishing in local waters, and riding the back roads on his Harley with many friends and family members. Before his disability, he was the owner/operator of Shuttle Express of Central Florida, Inc. He was also co-owner of Solbakken Rottweilers.
Jon is the son of the late Emry and Barbara (Phillips) Rebstad. He is survived by his wife Paula (Fahey) Rebstad. Son Johnny and his wife Laura of Jacksonville FL. Son Jimmy and his wife Annika of New York City. Daughter Ashlee of Summerfield FL. Grandson Riley of Jacksonville FL. Brothers Mark of Fort Worth TX, Peter of Southington CT, Timothy of Zephyrhills FL, Daniel of Ocala FL and a sister, Susan of Venice FL. He is predeceased by a brother, Stephen Rebstad. He is also survived by his father-in-law Pete of Wildwood FL and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and his Thunder Buddy, Shorty the dachshund.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Banks, Page, Theus Funeral Home. 410 N. Webster Street, Wildwood FL 34785.
