Johnny Mac Brown's Obituary
Johnny Mac Brown, 70, of Wildwood, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019. Mr. Brown was born February 14, 1949 in Dutton, AL to John and Mary Ida (Medlock) Brown. He played both football and basketball at Davis High School in Georgia. He was an All-State Linebacker in his Sr. year and received a scholarship for basketball. Johnny Mac moved to Florida in 1968. He worked for CSX for 41 years before retiring as a Conductor. Johnny Mac enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Marcia; children, Tonya Moulton (Chris) of St. Cloud, Corey Brown of Wildwood, Amy Hatcher (Matt) of Wildwood and Ashley Dorsey (Ryan) of Wildwood; daughter-in-law, Jean Brown of Port Charlotte; siblings, Carolyn Brown of Wildwood, GA, Janice Casteel (Dave) of Chattanooga, TN and Jerry Carter (Judy) of Flatrock, AL; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Carolyn Moore; sisters-in-law, Patricia Pate, Kathy Pate, Barbara Boscana, Laura Pate, Berna Grace Pate; brothers-in-law, Richard Pate, Keith Pate and Kenneth Pate. Johnny Mac was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Martin Brown; siblings, Margarite Ann Brown, Jimmy Fay Carter Crisp (Boyd), Sonny Carter (June), Mary Carter Griffiths and Michael E. Brown; brother-in-law, David Pate. No public services are planned.
