John Leland Glenn's Obituary
John Leland Glenn, 85, of Bushnell, Florida, went to be with the Lord on July
14, 2026. Johnny was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, on August 10, 1940, to his
parents, Robert L. Glenn and Luvadell (Fickle) Glenn. He is survived by his two
daughters, Terri Shoemaker (Bobby), of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, and Robin
Glenn, of Fruitland Park, FL; two grandchildren, Kyle Jones, of Nashville, TN,
and Wyatt Jones (Halle), of Orlando, FL. One brother, Bobby Glenn, of
Wildwood, FL; and special friends, Jerry, Barb and Kevin. He was preceded in
death by his parents, his loving wife, Mary Jane Glenn and his brother, Tommy
Glenn. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1958. After
graduation, the family moved to Florida, where he soon took a job with the
Seaboard Coast Line Railroad. He retired from CSX Railroad with over 40 years
of devoted service and was a member of Lake Panasoffkee Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 1, at Banks/Page-Theus
Funeral Home in Wildwood, FL, with Pastor Randy Alonso officiating.
Visitation is from 10:00am to 11:00am, with the service beginning
immediately afterward.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the charity
of your choice in Johnny’s loving memory.
