Joan Civil's Obituary
Joan Civil, 83, of Wildwood, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020. Mrs. Civil was born July 28, 1936 in Hasbrouck Hieghts, NJ to Henry William and Cathryn (Dettman) Crawford. She was a retired executive secretary for Stern’s Department Stores. Joan moved to Wildwood in 1998 from the Pines Lake section of Wayne, NJ. She was of the Episcopal faith. Joan was very active in the Continental Country Club Arts and Crafts Club where she was past president for several years. Her gift as an artisan was in making Fused Glass and Stain Glass and she was able to share that gift with her family and by teaching others in the club. Joan was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Richard “Dick” Civil. Survivors include her children, Marge & Rick Guglielmo of NJ, Dawn Dietrick of FL, Scott & Sharon Civil of PA, Rich Civil of FL and Joan & Tom Mullaney of NJ; sister, Carol Koonce of TX; niece and nephews, Kim & Tracy Champagne and Steven Faillaci; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Joan’s family will celebrate her life in the future when her friends and family are able to come together. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Continental Country Club, Arts and Crafts Club, 50 Continental Blvd, Wildwood, FL 34785.
