Way back in 1969-70, my family moved to Casper. I met Jim at Kelly Walsh High School. It was difficult to make friends being the "New Kid"...
That's where I met Jim. He was a great guy! He made me feel welcomed. We didn't do much together, but he was one of the few friends I had. This was about the time his brother, Hawley, got injured. He was very upset about it and it changed him. I felt very bad for both Jim and Hawley. I recall lots of prayers. I left Casper soon after that and lost track of Jim. He remains one of the few fond memories I have of Casper.
This past week I have been in Casper, my Dad is laid up in the hospital here. Imagine my shock when I read the paper today and saw his obituary...
Jim was, I'm sure, a good man. He was a good man back, when I knew him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
